Pig Tracking

It is essential to the quality of the ILI tool data to have our highly experienced pig trackers develop a plan to complete the AGM Tracking in a safe and organized manner. We specialize in high speed tool runs in Natural Gas pipelines running anywhere from 5 to 9 MPH in all types of weather, terrain, inland swamps and open water.

When required we will use ATVs, Side by Sides, Air boats, Marsh Masters and on rare occasions even a helicopter to get the job done.

All our tracking technicians are trained & experienced pig trackers that are equipped with state-of-the-art wireless listening & monitoring devices that detect Magnetic & ELF (transmitter) equipped tools. They will all have late model 4x4 vehicles with signs & safety strobe lights, vehicle mounted 2-way radios, Laptop Computers, Cell Phones and standard PPE.

We create a Excel tracking sheet for use during the run that calculates tool speed, predicts arrival times at all monitoring locations that our clients use during the runs to keep up in real time as well as a flow graph that updates after every pig pass. We also communicate pass times via text message to all critical personnel throughout the process from start to finish.
